General position description
This is a virtual, full-time, work-from-home position. Must be a United States resident. The individual in this role would work with a small team of highly motivated and talented people to grow a US hearing health website that currently has over 2 million visitors per year. In addition to growing the site domestically, this individual would help us expand our international footprint using best practices in Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Marketing (SEM). Help us to improve our site while making a real difference for people who have hearing loss!

We are seeking an experienced search marketer who is motivated, creative and fun. Additional general details:
• Full-Time, 8am-5pm in the Central or Eastern time zone
• Work remotely from your home office anywhere in the continental United States
• Company-provided MacBook setup
• Medical, Dental, 401k, company holidays, paid time off, paid professional development
• Must be located in the United States and be legally eligible to work in United States
• Travel is required 3-4 times a year for team and/or project meetings

Specific responsibilities and duties
• General search marketing research / trend analysis
• International SEO
• Keyword research
• Competitive analysis
• Technical site analysis (e.g. logfile and crawler reports)
• Onsite optimization
• Site analytics (Google Analytics)
• Link acquisition strategies
• PPC management
• Consulting with editor, developers and other team members on how to holistically implement search marketing strategies
• Consulting with international colleagues on best practices for search marketing
• Managing relationships with external search marketing vendors
• Reports to the Director of Healthy Hearing

To succeed in this role requires a combination of technical and marketing savvy. The person in this position will need to collaborate closely and collegially with editorial and development team members, as well as third-party vendors. In other words, there is no “I” in SEO.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 4-5 years of experience in search marketing
• Deep knowledge of SEM and SEO, especially from a technical standpoint
• Self-motivation to keep on top of emerging trends and technologies
• Experience working for consumer internet brands with similar health-based consumer sites highly desired
• Experience using Google AdWords
• Expert in the use of Google Analytics
• Advanced knowledge of spider, logfile, keyword and link analysis tools
• Advanced knowledge of Excel, Microsoft Word, Power Point, Outlook, Google Docs
• Previous experience with online task management tools
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Demonstrated record of strong analytical skills and creative problem solving
• Strong attention to detail, highly organized and able to manage multiple projects/responsibilities at the same time
• Self-starter approach, with ability to consistently meet and exceed objectives and take on more responsibility as time permits
• Sense of humor and a team player
